About Us

Living abroad is not easy!

Everyone on our team understands that it is a way of life. We all love where we live so much we want to share all the other wonderful businesses settling here with you; with a focus on experiences to unwind, wellbeing and sustainable choices.

The Original Pair!

A married couple, with sales and digital backgrounds and a love for sustainability, both from Exeter, decided to take a leap of faith and start an adventure of a lifetime and in the charming town of Sant Pere de Ribes!

We brought together our expertise and love for this beautiful area to create Little Paper Towns.

We are all about connecting the dots, bridging the gap between businesses and residents who share a common dream: living a healthier and more sustainable life.

Little Paper Towns is focused on helping smaller businesses be seen by those who need them! Wanting to bring an easy-to-use platform, with no negative news, or politics, only good vibes! She also knew she didnā€™t want an overload of advertising, and annoying pop-up boxes, but the chance for businesses to advertise affordably, and update their listing as much or as little as they choose.

Simplicity, transparency and a level playing field for all local businesses and event organisers.

On a personal level, going through mid-life changes as a woman, we realised there was very little information easily available, so are keen to bring day retreats, news and support to those who need it.

So why not join us in this exciting adventure? Weā€™d love to have you in our community!

 About Katie

When I was younger, I grew up in Saudi Arabia as an expat child. Moving in multiple circles with individuals of various nationalities, I learned how to collaborate and make connections quickly.

After spending 22 years in the digital industry, I realised how chaotic the new-age digital world was becoming. I disliked all the advertisements and pop-up boxes on websites that made it more confusing for users.

My background in running a web design business also highlighted these frustrations when smaller businesses struggled to compete with larger companies in terms of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and marketing budgets. Those with large marketing budgets and clout were dominating.

Well, buckle up because this story takes us on a bit of a detour!

My parents put their faith in a good old-fashioned pin-in-the-map approach and ended up near Girona, but letā€™s not get into that whole saga.

We had our sights set on schools in bustling Barcelona, but it turns out my typing skills were more questionable than I thought and somehow we ended up checking out The Garraf area instead. And boy, are we glad we did!

We havenā€™t looked back, except to laugh at what could have been. Living in Sant Pere de Ribes has been an absolute game-changer for us, but let me tell you, navigating a new country and town came with its own set of challenges. Trying to get my business some Google love in a Spanish-speaking market? Social media? Finding health support?? Thatā€™s where Little Paper Towns now comes in.

About The Name

About The Name

Remember the good old days when maps were our trusted companions?

There was something special about driving in the car with a big paper map on your lap, trying to figure out which way to go. Those days may be long gone, but we still hold a special place in our hearts for vintage and old-school ways.

For us, nothing beats the feeling of ā€œunfoldingā€ a local map and exploring a new town for all those businesses without a shopfront.

Maps have always been an integral part of our lives, helping us navigate and find our way. Whether itā€™s a mind map or a business plan, maps have always been there to guide us. Sadly, the beautiful paper maps are no longer around, although they will forever remain a cherished memory.

Nowadays, whilst moving towards a more eco-friendly world, we still rely on digital maps every day, especially when we relocate to a new town.
