Gay Pride Sitges 2025
Mark your calendars! Sitges Pride 2025, also known as Europe's Pride by the Sea, dates to be confirmed. This world-renowned Pride celebration is consistently ranked among the top five in the world according to CNN and Lonely Planet.
Expect a fun-filled week packed with cultural events, dazzling parties, and a vibrant Pride Village set up right on the seafront, featuring bars and shows.
The main event, the Sitges Pride Parade, happens on Sunday, at 5 pm. This flamboyant and festive parade winds its way along the beautiful Sitges seafront, with colourful floats, energetic music, and a joyful atmosphere. Sitges Pride Parade 2025

Corpus Sitges
Witness a stunning display of faith and artistry in Sitges during Corpus Christi.
This traditional festival transforms the town into a fragrant work of art. Locals spend the night before painstakingly crafting intricate carpets made entirely of flower petals throughout the main streets.
On the big day, a religious procession walks over these colorful masterpieces, creating a truly unique and beautiful spectacle.

Assumption of Mary
Assumption Day is a public holiday and religious celebration all rolled into one. This day is super important in the Catholic faith as it's the biggest Marian feast day on the calendar.
People across Spain gather together to celebrate and enjoy the festivities on this special day.


National Day of Catalonia
11 September, the National Day of Catalonia is celebrated in the beautiful Catalonian Autonomous Region of Spain. It's such a wonderful event that has been celebrated since 1980.
When Catalonia gained special self-government within Spain in late 1979, they were quick to establish this holiday and celebrate their unique culture, traditions, and history.

Fiesta Nacional de Espana
Did you know that Spain has two "national days"? One of them is the Fiesta Nacional de España, which is celebrated every year on October 12th, in honor of Christopher Columbus's discovery of the Americas in 1492.
It's a big celebration filled with parades, music, and traditional Spanish food. It's a great time to feel the pride of the Spanish culture and history.


Sitges Carnaval 2025
Sitges Carnival 2025: A World-Class Celebration
Dates: February 27 - March 5, 2025
Get ready for a vibrant and unforgettable experience at the Sitges Carnival 2025! This renowned festival, celebrated in the picturesque coastal town of Sitges, Spain, is renowned as one of the top 10 carnivals worldwide.
Highlights:
Fat Thursday (February 27): The carnival officially kicks off with a vibrant celebration.
Carnival Parades: Enjoy two spectacular parades on Sunday, March 2, and Tuesday, March 4. Children's parades start at 12:00 PM, while the adult parades begin later in the evening.
Burial of His Majesty the King Carnestoltes (Ash Wednesday, March 5): A symbolic funeral procession marks the end of the carnival festivities.
Parade Route: The parades will follow the route from Avenida Sofia (opposite Pic Nic) to Cap de la Vila.

Festa Major January 2024
The final traditional acts of Festa Major are nearly here!
24th January at 12.45 - Grallers descent from GER to Marcer Square.
GER hosts the traditional breakfast - La cassola. Then the Children's Circle of Vigília will process the streets ending in Marcer Square. The activities will resume in the afternoon with the Ballade of Sticks.
From 4 pm the groups will leave the Vella Rectoria and pass through La Serra, El Montgròs, Can Ramon, Can Climent, El Mur, Can Fontanals, Puigmoltó and Can Roig de les Torres.
17.30h, from the Plaza dels Països Catalans the Vigília Cercavila process the most central streets of Ribes and end in Plaza Marcer for the Stick dances. At the end, you will be able to see the representations of the spoken dances and the joint groups with the Ball de Devils de Ribes, the Ball Diables de Ribes Colla Jove and Demonis de Ribes.

The day of Saint Paul, on Thursday 25 January, will start at 7.15 am with the Toc d'Alba from the Church bell tower. The morning continues with the Ring of Call at Vila Square to start the march to Sant Pau.
The most traditional act of the Festival will start at 9 am in the Placa de la Vila until arriving at the Sant Pau hermitage, where there will be breakfast for folk dances and the Festival Office. Mid-morning and it is time to return down to town, with a performance at 13.30 pm in Placa de la Vila.
After the town tour, there will be a Vermouth Festival at the Social Bar of the organization GER. In the afternoon, the party will continue with the Festa Major Concert by the Maravella orchestra at the Can Puig (limited capacity), and at night with the Festa Mayor Ball (also limited capacity).
The Festa Major acts will continue in Ribes on Saturday 27 January, at the Nau with the concert of the local group Nosaltes from 10 pm.
On Sunday 28 at 6:30 pm, the Bell-Lloc Theater and Cinema Room of the Parroquial Centre will host the Lyrical Concert, Lied and Song recital, by the students of the master Victoria de los Angeles (a production of the Superior Music School of Catalonia). Tickets can be purchased on the website and at the box office during Cinema Ribes and half an hour before the performance.


Three Kings Day
As the mundane routines of the world resume their regular course post-Christmas, behold the enchanting arrival of the Three Kings Festival, Spain’s mystical Second Christmas, unfolding on the eve of the Epiphany. The Three Kings revelry permeates the air across Spain, transforming the atmosphere into a magical carnival, where the celebration surpasses the significance of Christmas Day elsewhere.
A procession infused with ancient traditions takes center stage, featuring the majestic Kings and their entourage, some elegantly astride horses, parading through the enchanting streets of Sitges starting at 5 pm.
A cascade of thousands of confections cascades from the regal floats, delighting eager children (and perhaps a fair share of adults), all while costumed dancers, marching bands, and standard bearers weave a tapestry of joy in commemoration of one of Spain's most pivotal festivals.
Come January 6th, the world awakens to the joyous exchange of Christmas gifts bestowed by the cherished trio of kings—Balthazar, Gaspar, and Melchior—ushering in a realm of wonder and enchantment.

Three Kings Parade
Three Kings Parade Sitges Experience the festive magic of the Three Kings Parade (Reyes Magos) in Sitges, where joy, sweet treats, and vibrant costumes take centre stage. This lively celebration is an integral part of Catalonia's grandest seasonal revelry, commemorating Epiphany on the following day. Marvel at the dazzling floats adorned with three regal kings as they make their way through the streets.
These benevolent monarchs delight in showering candies upon the well-behaved children, while playfully sharing sugar "coal" with the mischievous ones – a sweet twist on a time-honored tradition. Rest assured, the coal may look real, but it's nothing more than delicious sugar in disguise!

Connexions - Irish Arts Festival
Creative Connexions Ireland:
Sitges '24 is presented by the Irish based, arts organisation, Artscope. The aim of the brand is to develop relationships between Ireland and other cultures.
Under this umbrella Artscope produce and deliver an annual showcase of high quality Irish performing arts in Sitges, Barcelona.
Sitges '24 is a four-day festival of Irish, Catalan and other musicians, artists and performers showcased through performance, lectures, readings, films and workshops.

Grape Harvest Festival
Celebrate the 2024 Grape Harvest Festival
Join Sitges for the 63rd annual Grape Harvest Festival (Verema) and the 17th Wine Exhibition, taking place from October 18th to 20th, 2024. Experience a vibrant celebration of local tradition, featuring:

Sitges Bears Week
Sitges Bear Week is a major event for the LGBTQ+ community, specifically bears and their admirers. It's held twice a year, in May and September, transforming the town of Sitges into a bear heaven. The next one will be in May 2025.
What to Expect:
The center of the action is the "Bear Zone" on Joan Tarrida street, with bars like Bears Bar being popular hangouts.
Expect a festive atmosphere with pool parties, beach gatherings, special dinners, and nightly celebrations.
The event attracts a large international crowd.

Be prepared to book well in advance, as hotels fill up quickly during Bear Week.
