When Sitges has been famous!

Ask anyone who has moved here to Sitges and one phrase you will often hear is...

"There is a magic in the air, but I cannot quite describe it!"

Where Sitges has featured in the Movies:

The beautiful and iconic church was in the Day of the Triffids in 1969! And a few other films that have chosen Sitges as their location include Island of the Damned, 91976 which was filmed in Carrer de Sant Joan and Carrer San Bosc.

The Deal in 2006 chose to film a car chase down to San Sebastian beach and Savage Grace also featured San Sebastian and El Vivero Restaurant. (EDIT)

More recently has been Who is Erin Carter -

“We shot an entire car chase in and around Sitges,” Bullock says of an impressive feat of logistics pulled off by the partners. “We managed to close all streets in the old town and we filmed right on the bay of Sitges. We flipped a car, had a high-speed car chase and a complex stunt sequence involving multiple vehicles, supporting artists and stunt performers. Over a period of five days, we shot this incredibly successful car chase — all during the height of the tourism season.”

If you want to check out more of the lesser known films, IMDB has them here.

If you come across any old coverage of Sitges, send it to us and we can keep updating this post.
